beautiful funky junk art- orange basket

well on bin day i saw a nice little kitsch style orange basket/box on someone`s rubbish pile, i walked up shamelessly to the pile and picked it up as no one saw lol, the moment i saw it i was thinking what crazy paint job i could give it.
i really wanted a funky little storage area for all my bits and bobs on my art desk so thought this would do the job perfectly.
so i got it home and started slapping pva glue and old pages from a books all over it till it was covered. then the paint job began. i wanted it too looked aged and like the paint had peeled. so went for a pink with browns and a hint of green. finsihed it off with some ribbon, inks and rub on letters. went with a parcel theme and some of the phrases read (return to sender) & (food parcel for) etc etc.
xxx next time ur out on bin day, just keep ur eyes open to see if u can find anything to funk up. re-used and recycle !

a came across a lovley little website with some unique bits and bobs.

"Get your artistic juices flowing" - Courses

im at home, ive graduated, i havent got a studio and have lack of funds. so i thought it would be nice to do some part time arty course and thought of city and guilds. well the do a number of suitable arty courses for someone like me lol such as Visual Techniques, mmm sounds great so i read further and saw the following:

now the Creative sketchbooks course really caught my eye, so i downloaded the pdf of the course content and it was super basic, like colour wheels and mark making. But to me it would be nice to get lost in that stuff again. i could do it at home with myself but i need a fresh environment.
well i was getting all excited and then i had to stop dreaming, i did a post code search and the course isnt available in my area. i died inside lol
so im gonna take the pdf and print it off and do it myself . will be a nice little project for me, some Aims to have to keep me going.

New diet

Today i have decided to get a grib, and start a healthy eating diet. i seriously need to do it. i have a bad back and need to loose some weight, well alot really but im just gonna be realistic, try for a few stone first. i had gall stones before i came to uni 3 years ago and lost bout 10 stone, which was lush, but had my gall bladder cut out and i was able to eat everything with fat in again. the last 3 years the weight has creeped back on and last year i started slimming world but gave up after about 2 months.
so todays the day. BISMILLAH in the name of allah. god willing i will stick to it. and get ready for motherhood.
heres some journal pages i did to encourage my positive thought process towards this new lifestyle.

For Mum
Yesterday i spoke to mum and she said she had got me a big box of goodies she found at harrods ( the dump lol), so i was over the moon! as crafting bits and bobs arent cheap, she said it is too big to post so will have to have patience until she can drive up to see me.
so after that i was in a great mood , i started flicking through the newspaper and saw these roses in a sainsburys ad so decided i will dedicate a page to mum to say thank you, and how much i love u .
i love you mum xxxx
